flexpipe/downpipe

Ok so my factory flexpipe blew out the other day. Cant afford a new dp at the moment so would it be acceptable to cut the old flexpiping off and weld in a new one? And what size would i need

Assuming you're going to have someone else do it, the labor cost alone would cover the cost of a new catless DP.
