Found Another good quiet muffler
Found Another good quiet muffler
For those with aftermarket dp's and the need to rid most of the rasp. I just got back from a muffler shop in Clearwater FL. I originally wanted the Flowmaster 60 series or the Dynomax Super turbo, well pretty much open to any muffler for raspy sakes. As I showed him the exhaust and the rasp he showed me a Thunderbolt (center/offest) muffler with the super turbo style flowing that would do the trick and he was right. She's much quieter and way less raspy though a tiny bit revved in the highend but only in cold starts. Warmed up hardly. Nice guy He even read my mind on maintaining the SS/TC angled pipe with tip. Hell the setup looks better lookin and lighter and Doesn't effect performance as she still pulls
I would recommend this muffler or any other quiet flow types when it comes to performance catted/catless dp's and larger piping, even when a longer resonator isn't enough. Oh yeah, the guy has worked on Cobalts before so i'm glad I found someone who's familiar.
