Free tires (for me)
Free tires (for me)
So I got my Cobalt (2007) about 3 weeks ago, 295 miles on it and the front tires were shredded. My dad bought it through a GM rep in Atlanta and then sold it to me. The rep said the tires were new so when we got it we were in awe of what happened (not wanting to spend the cash for 2 new tires).
So the rep called back today after doing some research and said the vehicle was at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the Cup race and was a driver vehicle for one of the Chevy guys (hopefully a guy I like, Jr, Gordon, Stewart). So I am no longer peeved about the car having almost 300 miles on it since someone cool probably drove it (thus tearing up the tires).
Oh and the GM rep said I can have 2 new stockers and keep the "shredded" tires so it's a win-win.
Now if I could only find out who drove it and have them sign the tires I'd be a happy camper.

Ya I was worried about the clutch and other things but it seems fine for now so I won't be pissing yet.
And ya it probably got the **** kicked out of it, but I'm sure actual owners here do worse to their cars (at least a few of the stories I've read).
