Front Liscence Plate

So the tools that run our province want to reinstate mandatory front liscence plates. In my opinion front plates make your car look terrible. Not to mention that I will have to drill holes into my bumper which will likely cause further cracking and peeling down the road.

In the event that this does happen, are there any mounts that do not require drilling into the bumper?

if you have to put a frame, and it has to stay there, what's the differene if there's holes. and you get used to it.

license plate in the dashboard to me looks even uglier then having it on the car.

heres what you do.

take you plate.

fold the top section of it so its only folded at a 90* degree where the state name is

then drill it thorug your front bumper frame so its just the license plate numbers showing and your state slogan on the bottom ( or you can fold that back behind it too)

that is how i had my plate on when it was on.

Yea it sucks, I had my car for over a year before I got pulled over for no front plate. Went through having the dealer install it, having them crack the bumper and taking over a month to get in contact with my to replace it. It's a hassle...

Why not just use the same 3m double sided tape that GM uses on the badges....Anyone whose shaved their emblems knows it holds up against any weather. Use it to affix the plate frame to the bumper, no drilling needed. This may seem stupid to some, but I figure if you're going to worry about drilling the holes, then you'll probably not care about the adhesive.
