Fueling cooling mod

A few years ago on my celica gts i bought a transmisson oil cooler and ran my fuel line through it, it helped out pretty good for a horse power gain cause they said every degree cooler ur fuel is so much more hp right? so i am thinkin about doin this to my cobalt today, and i just want your opinions before i start on this, its a very easy mod to do and only cost no more then 50 bucks all together for the cooler and the hoses, so what do u guys think?

So why don't you buy an actual fuel cooler from summit or jegs?

i dont know about fuel... i just know air becase it alows to to get closer together and become more dense( thus more air more fuel) but it might work with fuel also.

It does work. If you heat gas you get better gas mileage but less power. Cool fuel more hp less mileage. This is part of the reason why we get worse mileage in the winter

You get worse gas mileage in the winter because cooler air is more dense. Denser air means you need more fuel.

true but also if you warm the fuel you get better mileage. I have seen fuel warmers and they do increase mileage in cold conditions

Yeah this Smokey guy, I can't remember his last name, made a Fiero with heated fuel to increase gas mileage by a lot.

Well around how much do the fuel coolers from jegs run? I priced out my version and the transmisson oil cooler is 25 dollars and 6 feet of 3/8 fuel line is like 10 dollars
