Hmmm, very interesting, my guess is they put a G5 grill on a Cobalt. Still cool tho.

I think you are right, since it only takes a couple of minutes to swap the grills thats probaly what they did.

I could be mistaken on this, however I thought the front bumpers on the cars were infact different. The Cobalt front facia has the cross bar where our bowtie lays. The G5 doesn't have any crossbar, and their grill fills up the entire whole...

Unless they cut the bumper to get rid of the middle cross bar, I think its more likely they slapped the entire front facia from a G5 on the car, and then replaced the rear ground effects with the pursuits.

I wish you had some rear shots so we could see if it had the G5 tails or the Cobalt tails. I think it would be really neet to see if the rear facia and tails from the G5 bolted right up to our cars, something I've always wondered.

[UPDATE]
Ok, in closer inspection of picture #2, you can sorta see what looks to be the tail light of a Cobalt Coupe. So I'm pretty much 100% convinced at this point, that they simply put the front facia of a G5 on an SS/SC

sorry the pics arent closer / different angles / clearer / etc. i did the best i could with my shitty 3.2mp digicam considering the car was suspended on the ROOF of the GM Lordstown building. couldnt quite make it past security to get on the roof
those are the exact SS/SC wheels. picture doesnt show the dark colors of the car very well.

i blew the pic up and the tail light sure looks like prusuit tail

plus the wheels arent ss or ss/sc wheels

maybe the polished 17's from the hhr , the center is alot smaller than the ss or ss/sc wheels

Pontiac doesn't have an SS, it's got a GT. and no supercharged version.

The best engine will be the 2.4 NA, no supercharged 2.0 will be available. Kinda weird since Pontiac is supposed to be the performance division

In a way gm motor division could go wihtought chevy. They have gmc for trucks and they have pontiac for cars. I am not knocking chevy though i have my 06 ss/sc and an 05 Trailblazer LT and i wouldnt trade them in for a G5 and an Envoy.
