"G85" package on a 2007

I was told that they aren't offering the recaro seats on the 07 model...(which is only a portion of the G85 package, from what I've gathered).

Any word into this? Should I talk to my dealer? Ask him to look a little harder? :/

I do believe you are correct. That's what they did with the Redlines.

Recaros are great if your back isn't too wide, I can't fit in racing seets, pissed me off because this option would have been great when I bought my car in 06. Heh, I guess doing lat pulldowns has one drawback. This is the reason I origionally did not buy an SRT-4 thank god, the seats were way too small!

The G85 package comes with LSD... Limited Slip Differential, still.

It seems like they're having supply issues with the recaros again, they're been available for the first part of every year, then the get put on constraint, at least this time they're still making the LSD available.

I remember reading that the Recaros would be installed as part of the package until August 28th or somewhere close to that. So tomorrow? might be the last day.

My dealership got a new moron colored 07 SS. It has the G85 package and had recaro seats. I seen it with my very own eyes come off the truck.

Maroon is what I think you meant. And I love that sport red tint coat. MMMM. Not gonna trade mine in for it, but it looks beautiful.

I second that, also heard they do not comply to some new seat law and are slowly being phased out...too bad, they are just amazing!

Yeah, the new law is all cars must have suck-ass-seats unless you spend 50K or more.

Since when are the stock seats crap? Are you kiddin me? These stock seats are one of my favorite things! Recaros take away from the interior so much cause you can't have colored inserts, what a dumb move. Take away the colored inserts for plain looking recaros... NAH!

I don't really like the colored inserts but never seen them in person. The seats may look good to you but they are terrible compared to recaros or so iv heard.

the rearos are better quality seats. they will take longer to wear out and hold you in your seat better when cornering and such. thats why they are better.... personally i think they look better too.... the interior with the coloring everywhere make it looke like a ford tempo that someone painted the interior on lol

Recaros are the greatest. They are so comfortable, and they hold you in so well! I sat in a car with the stock seats last week, and I was like WTF??? Inserts or not, the Recaro's are the greatest seat my ass has ever had the pleasure of gracing!

Yep Recaros are gone...then again so are the redlines as of 9/1 but the law states that there must be a sensor in the seat to show whether or not the seat is occupied which will turn on a light or warning that their seatbelt isn't on. My fiance's G6 ver has the same thing. This will be nice for the matter that is no one is in your passanger seat and you get in an accident, your passanger airbag won't go off.

The recaros were available for the first number of cobalts made in 07. I have them in mine, but they are no longer available.

Actually i saw an 07 with recaro's today, but i don't know if it had an LSD or not, but i saw the recaros with my own two eyes. It also had the high mount spoiler delete option. So it only had the regular spoiler. Also the rims where chrome-like.

They added some nice touches, but i will stick with my high mount spoiler and LSD.
