Gas going quick

I know in some of the older corvettes (maybe newer ones as well) the gas tank was in the shape of T, or pretty close, but basically gas would seem to go by fast as h*ll as soon as it hit about half a tank. Im not driving my car that harsh and it even though the computer says that im getting about 25 mpg, my gas gadge is going down surprisingly quick, im wondering if somehow ive overlooked something, any ideas?

well, 25mpg gets you about 250 miles or less before it's time for fill up... don't know what you consider surprisingly quick though

it's not going that quick, it's just you dreading the high damn gas prices and filling up again for almost $40...

Well, i just hopped in and drove to a friends and my gas gauge was about 1/16 up higher, so maybe just sensitivity, or its just wacky

There's actually a TSB on this where some drivers complain about erratic fuel gauge readings. But, to me it doesn't sound like a misadjusted fuel level sensor like the TSB suggests. I get this same feeling since gas prices are so high, and I have an average of around 25 MPG as well.
