Im new to this site, just need some help. So, today i decided to get a new stereo installed professionally ( dont know if it could be a source of the problem), got done quickly and drove to a friends house with no problems. While at my friends, a crazy storm appeared out of nowhere. Somebody at said friends house needed a ride home , so i agreed, thinking i could handle it. the rain was so heavy that i could not see more than ten feet in front of me. On the way back, i drove into a puddle at least six inches deep and definitely could not make it through. i quickly threw it in reverse, no stall, no engine light or anything and went back to my friends house. on my way back home, the gauges in the car turned off and on in less than 2 seconds, but the car kept running, any idea what couldve happened?

 

maybe some wires were exposed and got wet?

 

Damn. how bad could it be for me? im not very good with cars or electrical things.
