Gimmie Some Traction!!!
Alright guys as of right now im almost done with my performance mods. The only thing i really want to get now is a different exhaust. After that, I think my car is going to be fast enough and I want to move on to traction mods and looks.
TRACTION:
* I currently have BF Goodrich G-Force KDW2 on order.
* Thinking about getting coilovers or Eibachs ( not even sure if that helps )
* I have the Ingalls Torque Dampener
I want to get some information on different things such as Motor mounts, polyurethane mounts, or anything else that i really have no idea about. Wider wheels, lighter wheels?
Whats the best setup for the best traction? Trying to make it easier to get some really good 60' times. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated. THANKS

urethane mounts are always good. your torue damper will help aswell. Im not familiar with the BFG's you're getting, but drag radials are the way to go. i dont know if you can put wider wheels up front, unless you're just going to use those wheels at the dragstrip. i've never really got to play with a fwd race carbut im sure springs or coil overs will help as well

Two ways. TIRE compound and bigger foot print.
Stock wheels go with 225/40r18 BFG KD's not the KDW's or Yokohama Advan 048.
The ultimate would be 245/45r17 NITTO 555R DR's on a 17x7.5 or wider rim. I wouldnt go wider than 8".
Traction aids are a waste of money IMO. Polybushings are the way to go. start with control arm bushings and then move to motor and tranny mounts.
I would like to see some one run 255/45r17 on a 8 to 9" rim. Is it possible? I dont think so not for the street. the track only may work. 255/50r16 has fit but again they ran it for racing only.
My Eibachs did nothing. BWOODY traction bars work for 100% no wheel hop but it prevents unrestricted movement of the suspension and the arms did not move. that is why I point in the direction of control arm bushings replacement to deal with the wheel hop.

i dont have much wheel hop but it seems to just be my tires dont stick to the ground and just break lose. I know that hp tuners can help but i dont want to mess with my warranty. I dont just floor it i feather it on the clutch and slowly on the gas so its not so much driver error. Do wider rims even help.
I ordered the right BFGs but what the difference between the KDW2 and the KDs.
I also know about the nittos but those are just for the track. I want some street tire with good grip too

BFG G-force KDW's is for Dry and Wet traction.
BFG G-force KD is for maximum Dry traction. better dry traction than KDW's
NITTO's DR is not just track. It is a street tire for drag.
You sound like a Yokohama ADVAN 048 personality. YOu would just fall in love with that tire. Stock on LOTUS ELISE. they have 225/40r18 that fits stock rim
