We know how GM feels about Saturn at the moment, that pretty much answers the RL question... G8 GXP isn't going anywhere, but other than that GXP pretty much = SS so I'd assume it's going in the same direction.

Surprised no one mentioned the Camaro, wouldn't that fall under the HiPo Dept? At least the SS anyway, wouldn't be surprised if they decide not to build them at all.

Engineering is done for the Camaro SS, and thousands have been ordered. They're ready to roll.

ya this will prolly put the camaro back a few years...AGAIN... So they want to make a car for the american ppl? How much hype is there about the volt among the average north american people (not hippies and politians) as compared to the camaro? Screw the environment i want HORSEPOWER!!! Chev is just running out of damn money and is cutting anything they can and coming up with lame excuses i love chevy, always have but im not going to be wasting any money on a company that doesnt even TRY to make performance vehicles...i mean i was pissed they where dropping the cobalt for the "Cruze" (you know the honda with the bowtie on the front) but now they are just getting rid of everything?! WTF!

Re: Camaro, from Autoblog

General Motors sent out a directive to dealers today announcing a one-month production delay for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. According to the message, the reason for the postponement (production is set to begin on Monday, March 16) is not due to any legal problems or the current issues faced by the General, and instead is a "result of GM's efforts to ensure the Camaro exceeds the highest quality benchmarks established by GM for a new product."
Meaning this close to that date, the division GM broke up today has done their work already.

It's all good... point is, the car IS getting built. It's no longer a "project" of GM's high performance guys, it's in the hands of Oshawa.

This is bullshit, instead of cutting jobs and cars, why dont the greedy mother ******* ceo's of gm take a pay cut. they already make 100's of millions of dollars a year plus bonus. cut your pay in half and then beable to pay employees. i think that their salaries are more than enough. or atleast what the government should do is, tell them if you while they are borrowing government money they need to cap their salaries.
