GM ecu reflash website

someone posted on the forum a while back a website that would allow you to put in your vin# and it would tell you which updates are available for your car.

does anyone still have this link?

After entering the the Vin Number and selecting Complete History under the PCM/VCM Powertrain/Vehicle Control Module, It list every category of the engine. Does this mean each thing listed needs to be updated on my car? For example, it says Calibration history for Operating System, Description: New Software to address idle stability robustness Under Heavy A/C Load.

Have you ever had your car reflashed? My car is still stock, but when i went to the dealership for my first oil change i asked if thier were and update reflashes for my car and thier was one that fixed a idleing problem i had. That was a few months ago and i havn't had the problem since. So there is a reflash for stock cars that fixes some problems. If your not sure just go to the dealership and ask, mine was free, so you don't lose anything but a few hours of your time

Thanks. When I go in for an oil change, I will talk to the service department. I hope they know what I am talking about this time, because I already stopped in and they told me the only reflash available was for Stage 2 Equipped Cobalts. Thanks for the Information.

When i went in the dealership said they had not heard of anything but they looked it up and found a reflash for stock ones besides the stage 1 and 2 reflashes, just dont let them charge you anything cuz i can take a few hours, it took over 3 hours to get my oil changed and reflash. but it should be free since its supposed to fix known problems
