GM Leasing

I was on the GM website checking out what payments would be on a new cobalt for my girlfriend and I went into the payment estimator and it said that leasing was at 12.75% and her payments would be like 600 a month (on an LS).

Is this the new leasing rates for GM or is the Website just fucked up?

The site is for an estimate, you should really go see a dealer

that's WAY to high for acobalt LS... my guess is it's a mistake, unless there's more that we don't know about... my payment is $348 which most would consider high for financing, and a lease should be lower than that...

I figured it was way to high too, becuase my 07 SS is only 375/month (we pay more here in Canada) leasing, i think leasing was at 2.4% then.

60 months, 6.8% interest, 75,000 mile warrenty, for $254/mo. Yeah, 600/mo sounds a bit high; take Imlikedrpepper's advice and see a dealer. Good luck!

That is not always true. Leases aren't always lower than financing a vehicle. It all depends on the residual value of that vehicle to determine the lease payment along with the lease rate %. Generally speaking, if the car doesn't hold it's value all that well. Then the lease payment will most likely be higher than it would to just finance the car. That is a very high payment for the Cobalt on a lease anyways. I would definetly go see a dealer for a better idea of a payment.

I would go to a dealership, But I do know my lease on my car was a lot higher than buying it. But I didnt want to deal with a negative trade in value which I have on my last 3 trade in's so I went with the lease even though it cost me more money at the time....
