Thanks for the pics, it be nice if Chevy does a hood scoop ( but not like the one pictured )..also I hope they don't go to that type of spoiler when it comes time for me to get an SS/SC.

it doesn't look like chrome, it looks like jet-hot coating

and damn thanks for those pictures... that clears up alot of stuff:

#1 the m62 is capabale of 16psi (probably just smaller pulley)

#2 they appear to be using the same bypass valve with only a new solenoid and placement of the solenoid.

#3 makes me think the bypass mod is safe now

#4 they're actually making some decent parts for these things already... possibly building stock before release.

#5 that intake is ugly as hell, but i want one.

#6 now that the tuner guys have seen this, they need to get in gear and make us some parts lol

muahaha. 272 will be eating Stage 2 SRT-4's for breakfast.

On another note. I bet just touching the motor alone with out having to go with higher boost will be in everyone best interest.

zinner, nice pics saw they had some parts displayed, anything on the upgrade kits?
And what was the part number of the 18" polished forged rim

Cant see on the photo, maybe on the original?
Any of those parts displayed for the SS/SC?

I did talk to GM performance but they wouldn't say much about the upgrade kits at all. They did say you would maintain your warrenty and they you would still be able to to drive the car very aggressivly and it would still hold up, so I think whats most important to them is the upgrades keep the car reliable.

Nothing official but I would think it might be out in Fall/Winter time frame and that we might be looking at a tad more power over a STOCK SRT-4. Any more power than that and they wouldn't be able to maintain the reliability and warrenty.

BTW I put up more pictures in that gallery and moved the drag strip pictures to a new gallery.

and therein is the fundamental difference between Mopar and GM, Mopar from the begining said we will have stage 1,2,3 and they will bump power up x,x,x and have this and this for components, even before any release, with GM eveything is coming or in the works like it is a secret from area 51....

GM, listen up! YOU NEED TO HAVE SOME EXCITEMENT OVER THESE UPGRADE PKGS OR IT WILL BE A FAILURE! START TO DRUM UP THE EXCITEMENT AND RELEASE THEM IN A TIMELY FASHION! NOT LIKE THE S/C PKG FOR THE 2.2 ECO CAVY AND SUNFIRE>>>>they originally said fall 02 and they still are not released!

It was only 10 dollars to get in. It was 35/45 (day of the event) to show your car and drag race.

I got 7 runs in and I could of gotten in a bunch more, but I decided I didn't want to beat on my car anymore.

It was definetly a great deal for 45 bux.

Not many bikini chicks but the one in the blue bikini was pretty cute I thought. I was yelling for here but she only got 2nd.

it can't be jet hot, that would be stupid to put jet hot on the s/c u want to get rid of heat not keep it in, if anything it should be polished, polishing the s/c will cool temps by around 15-20 degrees. not much but its something. if n e thing that jet hot is increasing the temps by 30-40 degrees.
