Yes you are correct. i looked at the wrong post and assumed you were talking about the painted headlights. my bad.....Now, with that said and me corrected, I have seen those on Ebay before. around $250 I believe

ACTUALLY, they used to debadge them back in the day for the sleeper look. That way no one would know what they were running against. I have an uncle who still has his SS badges from back in the day. He doesn't have the car anymore though.

Of course now no one would debadge a classic because it would devalue them. It's almost too bad in a way because the spirit of the muscle car seems to have gotten lost along the way. Now they just show em instead of going out and having some real fun.

I think it's just the collector market that did that... I'd be pretty reluctant to beat on something I just dropped $100 grand on w/o any type of warranty!

The guys who debadge the classics nowadays are the customizers, like Chip Foose or Troy Trepanier. They like the debadged look since its supposedly "cleaner".

I dunno, I never liked the debadged look. It just looks like there's something missing.

IMO some cars look good debaged cause the badges clutter up the cars panel but some look good badged because if you debaged it the car would look naked

yea, I saw a black G6 the other day with absolutely no badges on the back, only the little trunk key hole.....looked horrible IMO

The cobalts' don't look that bad but I wouldn't do it

I used black dupli-color black enamel paint. And put a clear coat on it also.
