Goo Gone??

I went to walmart to buy goo gone and there are two types. One is in a rectangular bottle that can spray which just says goo gone and the other is like in a windex bottle that says goo gone pro gel? Which one is better, the goo gone pro says it might not be safe for automotive paints.

Do not use on automotive paints, you wont like what will happen if you leave it on there too long.

One is just a gel form, they do the same thing. I prefer the original and a clean cloth.

You can use it on a car as long as it's clear coated, which most all cars are anyway. Just be sure to clean with water afterward. It will haze if you don't wash it.

Its probly for debading, it works the best to get the "goo" off. (intentinal pun)

i was considering just guying the 3m adhesive remover instead of the goo gone.. has anyone used the 3m for debadging?

Gas or WD-40 will work. If you use goo gone, make sure it is a yellow liquid. ALL solvents must be removed as quick as you can to make sure you don't damage your finish. DO NOT use goof off or acetone. Goof off is just xzylene which will eat right through your clear coat.

Never use gas on paint, easiest way to strip off the clear coat and paint is by using gas.

I used the 3M adhesive remover when i took off my badges. And it worked pretty good, but what i couldnt getr off that was left i used Easy Off oven cleaner.
