Good Deal???
Good Deal???
At my family`s dealership is a 2005 cavalier 2 door coupe, sunburt orange metallic, 5 speed, z-type appearance package, sunroof, no air conditioning, and get this, 8000kms!
the price is $11,900
, but i could probably get it for around 10,000.
here is my dillemna, i am in love with a cobalt ss supercharged, and plan on saving up for one, but is this too good of a deal to pass down?
insurance would be lower, and i could spend the money that i saved on a supercharged and some nice rims and maybe a sound system for the cavi.
I am 16 years old and need a vehicle.
Should I go for it?
All input is greatly appreciated!!!

I'm sure the reply's you're going to get are, since you're 16, stick with the cavalier.
I'll have to agree this time. With a lower sticker price, you can pay the car off faster, cheaper insurance, and like you said, more money to put in what YOU want in it.
If it was me, I'd get the Cav.

How big are you? The Cobalt has more room in the front seat, if the Cavalier is roomy enough for you I'd go for it in a second. The Cavalier is lighter and gets better gas mileage. I have never seen one without air conditioning though, maybe in Canada, Eh?
hmmm, "z-type appearance package" ....like the z24? and no air conditioning?! i thought that was standard? this sounds like a base model with a dealer installed package.
either way since its used you can get away with a cheaper price, whatever they are offering you go lower, they wont refuse it. i'm not familiar with that metric, but those are low miles for a used car, make sure nothin is wrong with it, run a carfax report.
its hard to let go of your dream and settle, but just imagine what will be out latter....like the new camaro...
and that color is unique on the cavalier, it was only available for the last couple years it was out.

Buy the Cav and at the end of 2007 (or into 2008) see what its worth to trade up to the newer Cobalt. (likely lots of fixes for some of the problems) Plus it will give you a chance to cut your teeth on a sport type vehicle.
