Found this car right up the street from me, i currently drive an 06 SS/SC with the common mod list, pully, HE, Injectors, Intake, Header, DP, Catback, stiff mounts, stage 1 axels etc.

Would it be a worthy trade?

the only thing that worries me about the car is the millage, what you guys think?

 

Looks clean, those ******* hold value like none other. We have a WRX and STI in my family also. How many miles are on yours?

 

86000 miles, got it when it had 41000.

 

Your car is probably worth 9-11k. If its a straight up trade, I would do it.

 

If the subbie has more than 105k I would strongly recommend replacing the timing belt and water pump. Only reason the owners get rid of them because it's expensive. You won't see a wrx or sti with 140k that is running or hasn't had that service completed.

 

Yea the high millage is deterring me a little, i love the way the car looks tho. I will probably go check it out to day for ***** and giggles and see what all maintenance has been done to it.

They also have this wrx, but its an 04 and it doesnt look as good as that black hatch, but a good deal none the less.

Just def ask about the timing belt service. If it hasn't been done. Test drive it. Beat on it then walk away

Yea, that is the first thing i am going to ask, if the timing belt has been done. Its not a really hard job it just takes a while to do. Maybe i can get them to come off on the price if it hasent been done and just do it myself.

Going to talk to them on monday.

 

Imports hold the value better than domestics do... I personally don't like wagons but if there is nothing wrong with the car it's not a bad deal.
