So my dealer called today to say she arrived, but that it wouldn't be ready until monday. I asked if I could come take a look, and while I was there I convinced him to make it happen!

The bad: They screwed up my interior, I got black instead of red. Also the trim around the sun roof switch fell off and won't go on (looks like the plastic clip is defective)

The good: I think I really like the black interior! The car is F*CKING awesome! Chirped it from 2nd to 3rd. Its super quiet, smooth, and handles great. I was blown away by the stock stereo, much better than I expected. The guages are sweet at night!

Sorry that this post sounds like a giddy 13 year old, but its been an exciting day! Pics to come.. it rained and she's dirty. (black car.. dirty? odd.. hehe)

 

....now be nice to her while you break her in (no offense ladies).

Did you preorder? Because I phoned a few of the dealerships and pretty much none of them were in Calgary yet. I wouldn't be suprised if they all showed up today in the same shipment.

i had the option of about 5 vehicles to buy from the alloted selection from the dealer

i chose one of them instead. They were brining in the three color choices i wanted so it worked out. I didnt get my first but i'm happy with the second choice of red too

Are the colored seat inserts only available in the color that the car comes in> In other words, can I order a black SS with blue interior accents or would it only come in black?

 

Black Cobalts can have any colour insert. The other exterior colours must match their respective insert (or get the standard black), with Orange Cobalts getting black inserts only.

 

Congrats b-spot. I don't know when i'll get mine. Last week, my dealership gave me the latest status code (Forget what it was) which basically states that parts have been allocated for it and it is ready to scheduled to be built. I'm guessing that could take a while. I had hoped to get it before the end of May so that I could take advantage of the $1000 rebate coupon I have, but that's not going to happen. Maybe i'll be lucky and get it before June 13th so that I can at least take advantage of the other coupon I received at the car show (Either 3,000 air miles, 1000 onstar minutes, $500 in accessories or 1% off the gmac finance rate). Does GM Canada offer the Hot Button? I can't seem to find any info on it.

I'll keep my eye out for you.

 

Ok, after one weekend of driving, I love this car. Its so smooth.. rediculously smooth. I'm speeding before I know it! I put 520 km's on it and I got it Friday at 6pm
