My first car was a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage, and it miraculously survived. I beat the hell out of that car, hit 2 cars with it, and skidded off the interstate with it... but with 85,000 miles on it, it still runs good!

First car 1974 Pontiac Catalina. 455, TH400 trans. The fastest land yacht I've ever driven.
Not quick by no means, but on the freeway that thing would sail!!

Congrats on the license.

Heres some advice though: Don't crash. New drivers with fast cars many times end up wrecking them

Have fun with the new car.

Enjoy the ride and congrats on the license.....

I had a 76 Vette, Chevette that is.....It was orange with woody paneling. My mom kept it running and it was one hell of a car when I got it. I had a 69 Camaro SS pull out in front of me and I t-boned it....totaled both cars, what a sad day....

Congrats, and definatly drive safely. I'm glad I started off with a not so fast vehicle. It proved to be a great way to learn how to drive, before getting cocky and doing stupid s#%t. I had a 94 Mazda B4000 pickup.

Meh Lucky.

I'm 16 an I had to buy my own. And it's just a 06 Cobalt LT. Nothing big or fancy. Because I have to pay for everything myself. I suppose that's what I get for having brothers and sisters.

lol. that can be true. i remember when i first got my licence and the first year i would drive the sht outta my dads car. goin down rocky-dust roads at like 90km/h and swirvin till i just about drove over the edge and down into a cliff of forests. dude just remember,(cause we all know your gonna try some crazy ass sht now and then) do it in an area where you most likely will not get hurt or hurt others. cars can be replaced but people cannot. except for that videa "The Island" but just ignore that because i assume you dont have a clone.

Im 20 years old today and got my 06 Red SS-SC about a month ago as an early b-day present for myself hehe!! I'm paying for everything :P (and I don't mind at all)

Old thread from the dead, I was reading along & just had a sick feeling the kid had crashed the car. Well since every one is talking about their 1st car..... I had a giant pos Isuzu truck. NO power steering, it had been lowered so it beat the crap out of you, the brakes had issues, occassioanly the speedometer would bury itself at 80 mph (top speed was 60) the list goes on & on. I drove it for 6 years, I was responsible for all of the maintenance, and I personally put nearly 200,000 mile on it. Her name was Nelly Belle, I killed her blew the head gasket & craked the head. I then moved on the JEEPS!

hopefully this kid will be an exception, but usually kids <18 yrs old + fast cars = a recipe for disaster

Luckily I got my wreck and ticket out of me before I got this car.

Congrats on the car, just be careful... there are a lot of 16 year olds around here getting in terrible wrecks...
