got my new cobalt! w/pictures

ok first off: PLEASE dont flame if you think its rice..this is the way it came from the factory!! chevy put all this on it. not me

sorry for it being dirty! it just rained.
06 cobalt ls...only option is the spoiler and mp3 radio(so far)
i dont want to get into how much my payments are...cuz its a lot. lol, but i knew that going in, its worth it to me. cobalts are my 'dream cars' because it was my first car. you know how a mans first car is ...its like equalto or greater than his first love hehehe

i would like everyones opinions, i love the car personally, but i love all cobalts ^

its a 5 speed! didnt want another auto..i know how hard they are to mod. anyways. onto the show! w/questions...would like some answers!

here's the front. i really dont like the razzi fronts, it sticks out so far and is really low(i'm wondering if the car is lowered too? its lower than my focus w/body kit) also, i thought the razzi kit was just a lip kit? mines like half and half, see the top looks like a stock bumper w/big lip over it, but no...if you look behind the grille theres nothing! its like..uh.... so getting a diff lip is out of the question.

now onto the back, i love the quad/dual exhaust. reminds me of m5's (i know, no comparison lol) stock exhaust is on it, just with a tip on there. also cant wait til i debadge it!

side: i like the rims. from this view you can see how far the front lip sticks out. also, i'm not sure what to do with the flames. sometimes they look cool, sometimes they dont. but they match the rims nicely. btw anyone know what kind of rims these are?

heres a close up of the tip. if i get an exhaust put on, do you think this will bottleneck it?

heres the shifter. is this the same size as all cobalt ls's? it feels like a short shifter and is really nice and tight. i HAVE to get an exhaust, this engine is so quiet i'm not sure when i can let off the clutch lol!

I think if you drop it and take out those ugly flames it will look AWESOME! I like the razzi kit.

I like the rear. Not too hot on the front end or graphics. Nice ride.

Can take or leave the front but the rear view and side view looks good (minus the flames)

Lower it some and get some 18's and it would look pretty good.

That don't look too bad....

Some suggestions... I'll start with the cheap/free stuff...

lose the flames... shave all the badges...shorty antenna... dark tint...

then go with...

lower it... intake & exhaust... and a different wing....

and it'll be a nice head-turner that might win ya' some respect at shows.

I like the flames.....but it looks to busy with the pinstripe AND the flames....take the pinstripe off, and lower it a bit, and you got one hot ride!

i dont know about lowering it, i already bottom out so much haha. i dont think i wanna go any bigger than 17'' rims, b/c i like going to the track and i like my gas mileage:P

i guess i will have to give it a while on the flames, i dont know what i think about them yet, and everyone else i know has mixed feelings.

i know this might sound lame to some ss guys..but i have my ss spoiler from my old cobalt...should i get it painted silver and put on this car?

silver ls

not bad.

i would take the flames off but thats just me.
if youre going to debadge it will look nicer but please dont rebadge it with SS stuff ok....its tacky.
And you never want to look faster than you are!
any plans for a turbo? Supercharger kit? or are you going to leave the engine alone?

you should paint the headlights to match the rims. check out my pics to see what mean.

if you have a dual exhaust it better be real ya know.

take er easy and keep everybody posted on what you do to your new car.

By the way these are just my opinions dont take it too seriously and enjoy your cobalt.

CONGRATS!

Looks good! I'm not a fan of flames on our cars, but yours are kinda subtle and go pretty good with the color scheme of the rest of the car.

I wouldnt paint and put ur ss wing on. I would try to do a swap first. Alot of SS peeps want the low pro wing. Do a complete swap. then sell ur old ss wing. Also get a better exhaust. You can get an SS exhaust for cheap if u talk to people on here. Then do the airbox mod. It will sound real good.

oh and whats the first thing that happens when i get into town? i'm leaving a gas station and some guy in a 96 or so eclipse with a supra body mold(headlights/taillights/widebody) is laughing at me. well about 15 minutes later he pulls up next to me at a red light and revs up at me, and me in my -stock- cobalt just sits there ignoring him, i take off anyways(we only went through first gear) we both spin a lot and i shift before him, spin into second, and am already ahead and he tries to play it off like he let off the gas..

you're not joking about it being quiet. the second one i test drove was a stick and i have a hard time hearing anything. Twice i thought i had stalled it, but gunned the engined and that was the only way I knew the thing was running.

there weas a black cobalt ls like that at a dealer near me. it was pretty cool. not a huge fan of the front bumper though. everything else looks nice. loose the badges then see how it looks with the flames. not really ricey....the only thing i could say is rice is the fake dual exhaust. it would be cool if it was functional though. have fun with your cobalt! good luck!

Just loose the pinstripe, drop the car, get smaller mesh for the front grill, and wash that thing! The flames are not to shabby, it's the pinstripe that kills me.

More than likely your dealership did it. Mine did my car and at least 4 others at their other dealerships in the area. I don't mind the look of it myself hehe obviously. All I can suggest is take steep driveways at an angel...My 1st bumper was scratched to hell because of not watching where I went(dealership replaced it cause they split it when attaching front license plate bracket) ...this 1 is a diff story lol backing into my driveway...taking the long way around to use the lower apron in parking lots that kinda thing...

Best of luck with it

Its funny, because I saw a car almost Identical to that running around near me.

Its an LT, with that exact bodykit.

It has the SS/SC spoiler, and tribal vinyls, not flames.

It is also silver.

I didnt think dealers were allowed to sell cars with aftermarket parts on them though.
