Gotta Love Pennsylvania Potholes!!

I was on my way to class yesterday, guy pulls out in front of me from the Hess Station on route 309 in a SRT, cuts me off...quick decision - ram the SRT and damage my front end, or pull off to the side of the road, so I slammed on the brakes, pulled to the side of the road and BAM....into a pothole - not even a pothole, more like a giant missing piece of asphalt - pull over to look at the horrifying damage....sure enough, no bent rim THANK GOD, but I got a bubble in the sidewall of the tire about the size of an egg...lovely...Called my work up to see how much that's gonna cost me....guy from the tire place told met's gonna cost me $235.00 for a pirelli, not to mention how much it costs to get it mounted and balanced. The guy in the SRT - it turns out he goes to my college. I ended up parking next to him, he's still in his car. I talked to him, long story short, he was an A**!! He was laughin about it, saying that I had plenty of room in front of me to stop, and I'm not one to exaggerate, there was not enough room for a car in between me and the truck in front of me. I told him that I'd give him a week to pay for my tire, if not, he's going to be sorry. I might just stick a nail under his tire so when he backs up one day, it'll slowly leak out. No way to prove it, right? I don't know what I'll honestly do. My father is the service manager here at the Chevy dealer, so he's going to try to get it covered under warranty by pulling some strings. Normally it wouldn't be, but it pays to know people that's all I can say. But what an A**....he seriously thought it was funny what he did to me, all because of the Cobalt. Just thought I'd share my drama for the day with ya'll.....

That sucks. I would be pissed. Tire shouldn't be that much though.. Are you buying the tire through GM? My dad is the general manager of a GM dealership and we found out it's cheaper to just go to the local tire place and use the dealer discount that to get it through GM.

You should have called the police!! He might have been arrested for leaving the scene of an accident. Plus he would have had to pay for the tire....... Might call anyway just to see if there is anything they can do for you.... Get his License plate BEFORE you call....

GOOD LUCK!!

Not if you shove it in pretty good. (God, why does this sound sexual? lol) I'd put a banana pretty far in, but just for one of the pipes. Leave the other one open. He will lose like 30 hp!!!! MUWAHAHAHAH!!!!

Just be careful, because now he knows what you drive and if you mess with his car, you might get it right back...

Find his car...take the valve cores outta the tires, then when he goes to fill them back up, all the air comes right back out. Our you could, if possible to open the hood, switch the spark plug wires around. He'd look at it and never know whats wrong.

if it was me I would go under the truck and start removing some plugs off important sensors. Or if your brave enough, pour a whole quart of power steering/no smoke lubricante in his gas tank. That outta **** some valves up on his truck

I HATE 309!! 2nd worst road ever (right between the rt. 100/202 bypass going from exton to west chester). Anyway, I would leave the car alone for a while cause he knows you're out to get him. He’d just end up retaliating, and you don’t want to start a war. Also, if you haven’t gotten a tire yet we may have some laying around where I work (phoenix performance). You should call my boss at 610-482-0141 (his name on here is jfaphoenix32) and ask if he has any left. They would have low miles and be way cheaper than new!

Report him to the police. He ran you off the road (if necessary play the girl card - "I was scared, it was all I could do to miss him and I ended up wrecking my car, I was so upset.") If they can do something, great, you get your car fixed and he *maybe* gets the pleasures of higher insurance rates. If not, then wait a few weeks and make sure his car has some *ahem* mystery ailments.

I know right where that spot is located I live 5 mins from it. Yeah there some bad potholes and bad drivers specking of that I had someone cut me off in the winter a Blue ford f150 with a trailer hich which I hit my front of my car with. He just drove off not a care in the world didnt even get time to look at his plates. Still gotta get it repaired but I think I'm going to put a SS body kit on it soon when I get the cash. So yeah good luck with that I know the feeling.
