Well there folks I seen my first SS today! And my jaw almost dropped. Was about to go in the bank and I looked and there it was. Being the idiot that I am, I just stood there drooling and waiting for the owner to show up. I seen him press his remote and the lights flashed on the SS, that was my cue! I said excuse me and start asking questions. He was GM exec and he just got the car. He let me sit in it(felt so good), cranked up the stereo(yea baby). Then he had to go. But on his way he rolled down his window and said have you ever been in one, I said no. He said hop in and we'll go for a ride. My butt just fell into the seat and felt so good! By now my heart is racing!! He stepped on the throttle and away we went. It was awesome! All I can say is that I love this car and can't wait to get mine!!!! Build date May 9th! Blus on blue!!!

 

Cool story. I saw my first one last week. Somone in my area has a yellow one and he was taking so many people for rides, 3 at a time. I actually wasnt impressed with it as I thought i'd be. I think maybe it was just the color and the fact it was quiet. From what I see, blue is probably the nicest color for it.

 

Man he didn't even need to offer you any candy to get you to come with him.

 

I took a test drive in a black SS on Tuesday!!! Toronto, Ontario. The salesman came out and showed me the car. He handed me the keys and said he wasn't coming for the ride but someone else was...................was a 17....maybe 18 year old kid!!!!!!! Oh boy, I'm going to have fun!!! I took this thing out screamin' Down the back streets and on the highway(401) at 200plus kms!!!! the kid screaming me on!!!! This car has got *****!!!.

Ok....................The interior is just fabulous!! The seats feel great, lots of room up front. Downside is the back seats..........no head room. The shifter is a short throw and the clutch is grabby but you pick it up quick and next thing you know..........You are just sucked back in the seat.........The wheels really grip the road and I took a turn off the highway and accelerated into the turn and the handling was awsome.....didn't really suck me to the side. The Wheel had no response though but on the highway it felt like a cadillac...smoooth ride!!!!! I know the wing in the back has had some people worried. I didn't really notice until on the highway......It was in the way of people behind me...almost cut the car in half and I couldn't even see the person behind me....just a hood. But other than that the car was solid...............140kms on the highway felt like doing 60!!!! I can't wait to get my car................It's on the way...I lied to the dealer just to test drive this thing. since I've already got one from another dealer but my dealer has none!!!!!!

 

Man you guys are getting me all excited...

 

No candy needed to get me in that car, but I would of took some if he offered!!!!!!

I'm in Kitchener too. I checked out a Red Cobalt SS at New Hamburg dealership when my dad was getting his vehicle serviced. They didn't install the wheel locks when he bought it the week before. A little oversight but no big deal. I didn't get a ride in the cobalt it because someone was coming in that evening for a test.

What dealership has that SS in Kitchener. The one on Weber St or the one on Ottawa?

 

No SS in kitchener that I know of I ordered in feb,, this was just some guy I seen at the bank. And according to my sources there was only 1 orange one sold here so far. His brother works for GM that how he got it so fast. Lucky him!!
