So I was driving through a neighboring town yesterday and saw a 06 SS/SC sitting on a lot. A lot of people I know talk to me about my car so I thought I'd check out the price in case anyone decided to seriously look for an SS. Anyway I pull up and check it out. 91k miles and they are asking $16,999. I had to laugh out loud. I was tempted to go in and explain how I bought my car (an 09 TC) in April with 4k miles for $16,250 but was too shocked to bother. Just thought I'd share with people who would understand.

I just recently saw an 06 ss sc with a 142k on it for $11,900.......smh

 

Baraboo at Easton motors. They're all about selling to people with bad credit - and bad ability to research car prices apparently.

 

^ you pay through the nose at those places, cause they are the only ones who would ever think of selling you a car. that car will be payed for halfway through the payments.

I live in Reedsburg. Not many SS's in this area from what I've seen. Heh, in fact I own 2/3 of the ones I know of in town.

and thats why i always have the preconception that car salesmen have no soul (except for a few)

especially after seeing the ones i used to work with at a dealership when i detailed cars, oh the horror stories

 

wow, I got my 05 2.2 4 door cobalt for 4000 , off craigslist, pretty clean had 110k miles on it. No problems on it so far got it early in the year.

 

Absolutely ridiculous.
I bought my SS/SC from a private seller for $6k, in MI.
Seller was having a baby though and needed a bigger car.

 

I have 45 000KM and was offered 17.5K ... lol

 

that sounds like the stuff that goes down in EP for car prices

Anyway, I think I know where that dealer is. Its a restaurant that was turned into a dealership, right?

 

Dang, I thought I got a bad deal for my06 ss/sc I bought it in07 for 15k after tax and dealer bs with 2400 miles

 

stiker price is always ridiculously high. mine (06sc w/ 34k) had somehting like that on the sticker. online price was around 16.5, wound up talking them down to 15.5 with a 4 year warranty

i know plenty of guys who sold their cobalt for the same price they got it for years ago. lol. outside the cobalt community nobody seems to know the resale on these cars suck.
