Had my 06 SS/SC for 6 days now

Wifey and I got our 06 Silver SS/SC last monday night 18713 miles on it. What an awesome vehicle so far. I've put 500 miles on it in 6 days. Averaging 26.5 mpg mostly city driving with lil highway here and there on my way to work. The power is just amazing so far though I haven't even begun to push it. This thing has to last me and I don't wanna burn through the tires in 10K like some of the others have. Haven't raced a single car yet though many have tried to lure me to do so. Love the car so far and even the wing is growing on me. I always wanted stage upgrades if I ever got one of these cars but wont' be able to afford them for a very long time. But really I don't see the need for them now, the car has such sick power having driven 500 + miles in one I really don't see the need for any more. I had it to 110 and my wife was like it's so smooth compared to the grand am gt I had which was fuel cutoff at 105. I am so happy with the car so far and I hope if I take care of it she will give me many years and miles of happy smiles and the occasional evil grin if I decide to whip it a bit. Take care guys and thanks for reading.

Congratulations and welcome to the site. I felt the same way about the stage kits until I had driven the car for about a year. Then I needed more power! I just got my stage 2 kit and exhaust installed 3 days ago and believe me it will amaze you all over again.

Back away from the computer before the need for speed and modding occurs. There is still hope for you. Leave now.
And congrats on the SS/SC

Thanks for very kind responses

Appreciate the nice advice guys and I will take care of my new lil beast. What a machine coming from the vehicles I have always gotten stuck with 1987 Cavalier Z24 , 1993 Eagle Talon ES non turbo what a stupid for not getting AWD TSI , and my Grand Am GT 2.4. I have gotten so many looks from people in this thing and it's comical. Especially when they tailgate and I give em a quick 2nd gear get off my butt. Funny how they lose their nerve to challenge ya. Love it. I don't drag race since there is far to much risk and I have to much to lose, but I will use my years of driving experience and my knack for watching whats going on around me at all times to have fun with people who are acting fools. I have no problem toying with them and especially now I have a very quick car it don't take much to really show them get away or you will go down. LOL Thanks again guys for the very warm welcome and I'll chat with ya another time I hope
