I was not going to join until I bought a balt but I saw this thread and was inclined to post.
DO NOT pay dealer for installation.
I do not know much about the mechanics, like all of you here, I am an certified mobile electronics specialist ....thank God for Circuit City's training programs......before the complany went to hell.
The headlamps in question, unless you are installing a "cheap" HID kit too, are, like the user above stated, P&P. They should have came wiith halogen lights already installed.
The stock cobalt lights are 9007 and so is that headlamp module so there are no conversions you have to do.
I don't know about the cobalt but on a dodge stratus, which is my current car, there are two long bolts that hold in the headlamp. I am sure there is some type of bolt on both side of the headlamp holding them into place. Remove those and begin to rmeove the headlamp, not too forcefully though, you will have to remove the plug that connects the light. It really is just that simple.
Also try your best not to mess with the bolt that adjusts the direction of the headlamps. If you somehow have those misaligned it is nearly impossible to get them aligned by sight and you may have to take it to a place that does headlight aiming.

To the OP........just do a search. There are LOTS of posts on how to install projectors and how to REMOVE the headlights properly.

It should not take more than a half hour to complete and that is still leaving time for corona along the way.

you still have to wire the halos\LEDs...i have them on my '08 sport.
just take the red wires from the LEDs and the white wires from the halos, and splice them into one of the brown wires on the stock harness (which you'll have to take off of the stock headlight). then take all the black wires, and splice them to the black wire on the harness. works great, no probs. i recommend using wiring hardware that will allow you to disconnect without cutting, in case you ever need to remove them and reinstall the stockers...and make sure it's well sealed. i just wrapped it in electrical tape. from there on out, it's plug and play.
with the wiring and removal of old\installation of new, took me about 15-20 minutes...most of the time was trying to find wire strippers that worked, and electrical tape. thought with my brother being an electrician it would be easy...but I guess that's what I get for expecting anything to be reasonably easy.

k well i dont have any HID's...i just need to know how to wire up the LED's...im sure you just explained it ^^ but im kinda slow....and yea for the most part they are P&P, all except for the three LED's on the bottom of each headlight....and yea..even though i dont understand what i'm doing, im sure its a simple process so i won't be going to a shop for anything but a paint job
and what the hell is splicing...as much as i know is that you twist the LED wires together after stripping them a bit, the you crimp them with something and do something else....can someone fill in the somethings??
