Alright i have a 05 cobalt LT, and i get into my car because i was taking it to get an oil change, its pretty much bone dry ya i know thats a no no, but i turn my car on and the check engine light is on and the T/C light is on like when you put your e brake on, which my e-brake wasnt on. The car is turned on at this point and about every 10 secs it makes the ding ding ding sound and the temperature is going away and it 3 --- lines. So i go to back the car outta the drive way and its extremely hard to turn. which i have no ******* idea why. so if anyone can help me out with this problem, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks.

 

what do you mean bone dry?

 

if im not mistaken dont our cobalts have electronic steering pumps under the steering wheel in the dash? if that went bad, i would think that would make it hard to turn....idk about the other symptoms your car is having though sorry....

 

Check your hoses, make sure none are dangling or unattached.

 

check your battery. it may be bad or have a bad connection
