Help with my pontiac g5

I'm removing my transmission to change the cluch and I got the Hynes repair manual for it, it says to Drain the coolant but I don't want to, so what I'm asking it would it be easier to Drain the coolant or work around it

I don't believe there is any reason to drain the coolant.

You can always start taking things apart and then if a coolant line has to be removed drain part of the coolant.

Well for far the coolant going to the expansion take is in the way but you can work around just makes things harder and infact I ended up breaking one of my shift cables as I couldn't get at it very well so it may have been worth it at the beginning but now the hard part is done
