Help with my rims! :(

After having my rims sitting at home for about 2-3 months I finally decided to put them on today & it was a huge disappointment so far.

I had 2 bad tires and 2 good ones, managed to get a sick deal of each tire 55$ mounted and balanced. Then when at the shop the guy spotted 3 cracks in one rim, charged 60$ for all 3. Then one of the 2 "good tires" was bad.

Ended up paying 200$ for 3 cracks fixed & 3 tires mounted and balanced 225/40/18.

Okay and lastly, after paying that huge amount went to take off my 15" steelies and to my surprise the new rims DON'T FIT.

Supposedly it has a big "ring" in the inside that touches on the brake caliper and won't let the rim go in. I dont really know the specs on the rim since its one of those knockoff MSR 045 looking rims that I bought used. All I know is that its 18x8" or 18x8.5" and 4 lugs...

I'm so mad because I already paid for everything and now I basically have 4 great rims and 4 tires with +70% thread left on them and can't even put them on!!

What can I do about this, I paid 200$ for rims and 200$ for the tires and crack fix and if I were to sell them I wouldn't be able to get more than 300$ for them id be losing 100$. Is there anything I can do or I just have to sell them?

What do you guys think about spacers would that workout and how much would it cost me to get them for all 4 wheels?

Thanks in advance!

I can get pictures if you guys need of the rims or anything. Let me know I really need help can't have these sitting at home anymore!

Here some pics:

Front of rims:

Comparison with current wheels:

Back of the rim (where the "big circle" is that touches the brake caliper and won't slide in)

I don't have any pics of the rim put on but it basically goes in, just that "circle" inside part of the rim goes over the brake caliper not letting it slide all the way in.

Do you think spacers will fix this issue and let me ride these rims?

I just made a crappy photoshop for a better visual of the issue. Hope you understand what I mean, basically the "ring" of the rim is too big and sits over the brake caliper a little bit over the edge and it won't let it go in. I hope spacers are the solution to this problem, would be sad to sell them.

I can't afford 600$ + shipping MSR 045's and 400$ for tires + mounting and balancing... ~1200$ for wheels. Got these for 200$ claiming I just needed "2 tires" and they looked great. Found out about the crack when the guy took off the tires just today. I was lied to by the seller. And the cracks were really small and barely noticeable but now they're welded and completely fixed. I'd still run these rims if it's possible. If I have to spend a lot more money to run them I'll just give up and sell them.

All I'm asking is... is it possible to run them, having in mind they have different measurements than my current wheels? What do I need to get/do and how much will it cost me. That's all.

you could get wheel adapter if you absolutely have to run them. personally i would say its not safe to run them and to stick to your stock wheels untill you can afford something that wont crumble when you hit a pothole.

I think I'll be good with these wheels and I think I came across the solution. It's not even a "spacer" that I need, i think these wheels might be a 4x114.3 bolt pattern and my balt has 4x100... maybe if i get a 4x100 to 4x114.3 adapter that would do the trick.

I think this would work?
4x100 to 4x114.3 - Pair of 1" Wheel Adapters

EDIT: Found the solution, turns out the rims are 4x114.3 pattern and my car is 4x100. I already took measurements between bolts and it comes to 4.5" (114.3mm) so all I need is that adapter I mentioned above. I guess I'll buy the adapter I never know when I'll need it in the future and I can always sell it if I ever change wheels.

Thanks everyone for the help!
