Okay, I was driving my ss/sc going speed limit, I take a left hand turn then about 10 seconds later the car goes all out of wack and shuts down while in gear. I was listening to music so i could here want exactly happened, but the engine shut off, i coasted to a stop, had the car pulled over, it would not start at all. I open the engine and I look and everything "looks" fine. So i close the hood. it had a funny burnt smell to it, i get back in, and it started right up. Now its sitting at my house and the engine light is on, it seems like it runs fine. anyone give me some advise please. thank you.

 

Check the CEL...at GM.

What type of funny burnt smell? Oil? Coolant? Tranny Fluid?

It smelled alittle bit like burnt oil or osmething, my oil is fine, i just have no idea what is going on, it wasnt a driver error, it just happened.

like car friends?? or just friends??? i don't have crap to do tonight. and it should be fine. my car did that in san deigo and i made it home safe. but like i said i didn't get the cel. good luck. take it to the dealer right now. the service dept. is open and they'll give you a rental.

 

Just with friends chillin in corona. I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow, I dont have the time right now cause of work.
