Hey all!

I've been lurking for a few days soaking up info. I picked up a burgundy '07 Cobalt SS/SC on Tuesday 5/22 based on all the informative things I have read here. I just wanted to say hi to all and give a thumbs up to the wealth of info on the site. I have learned a great deal in one week, much of which would be hard to come by without this great resource... Thank you to all that make this site run, it is first rate... Later

Congrats on your "Burgandy" SS/SC and welcome to the forum.
Now consider this your official warning, "leave now or become addicted to modding"

Really? What is so special about it? The dealer I went to had two SCs on the lot, one with the low profile wing and this one, both were "Sport Red"...

Welcome to the site and happy modding. The sport red looks great! (but laser blue is still the best )

Whats so special? You have seen the car you bought right? Its beautifuly hott! Its the first year that color is offered outside the Cadillac line and its a three stage paint job hence the extra cost. More and more are poping up but I remember when I first got mine, BTW first one with the color on CSS.NET and first SS sedan built by GM in the color as well, noone liked it. In fact many said it was ugly, they hated it, , more said it was "ok, but not thier taste" Now suddenly everyone LOVES it! I guess I started a new trend.

i didnt realize what a difference it makes till i compared it to yours, the tint really offsets the paint job. yours would look even better then mine cause you have more window so it would stand out even more.

Thank yoooou for kicking sand in my face. I know my poor little car NEEDS it baddly but with my just getting out of 6 months of training our bills are kinda high right now, but with the money I'm making it'll only be a few more weeks at most before the real mods start.

BTW I was just kidding man.

I'm figuring my short list is:

1. tint
2. intake (Injen?)
3. exhaust (Borla?)
4. Dual Pass Intercooler End Plate
5. HID conversion

I am averaging 32.2mpg hwy and am interested in bumping it a little if possible...

You don't buy this car for mileage.. unless you mean how many miles you can travel in a short time.

2007 ss/sc w/lsd
Sunburst orange metallic
gmpp stage 2, gmpp sport exhaust, gmpp manifold, dc sports strut bar, engals etd

Actually, I own a 2003 4x4 Ranger that with several mods that eeks out 16-17mpg (at 80+mph)

I drive about 166 miles a day round trip to work and gas was killing me. I was looking for a sporty compact for better mileage more than anything. I just made the mistake of test driving the SS/SC. In all seriousness the Cobalt will pay for itself... My $350 car payment $45 per month in tolls and fuel will be the cost of the Ranger's monthly fuel bill alone... I do like to kick it in the ass every now and then though...
