BANSHEE !!! do you know of anyone down the line that could look at the VIN's as the come down and report back to us when our car has past their assembly point. I would love to give you my VIN when it comes available and see when it actually goes thru. The covette plant has this going on and I thought it would be great for the to be available for cobalt owners as well

When you get your VIN you will also get a build date. I can't imagine you could ask a line worker to ignore their job and look for your specific VIN number as the chassises roll by.

The info you get is an order pull date and once built you get a shippment release date, both of these give a 2 week opening. GM no longer gives build dates because of peoples fears of getting a "Monday" or "Friday" car

Give the man some time. It was only six hours after he posted that you did. I can only assume that when he hears stuff he would inform.

I agree..... one of the key rules in life and biz is you never push you info supplier. Banshee has done wonderful things for all of us in terms of infomation supply. My prior comment has no rush to it just a question to pose to him.

not pushy jus gotta get some info... the sooner i get the car the sooner i dont have wake up a half hour earlier to stand outside in the negative 10 degree weather waiting for a school bus with no heat to come, where the person behind me constantly kicks my seat, and its a chick so i cant hit them, and takes 20 minutes to get to school.. but its all good... last week my bus driver hit a junior in his BMW M-3.. it was such a friggin nice feeling

rob the car will come when it comes, if banshee had info on a date dont you think he would tell us? also for someone who ordered their can on JAN 21 I dont think you should be to concerned on when you get it, since more than half on this site have ordered their car (ss) last year when GM announced it would make the car. and since they plan to make only 10 a week for starters there's a hell of a lot of people on the list b4 you. so chill and wait patiently

Well since in a normal assembly plant a car rolls of the line every 1 to 5 mintues, it would be kind of hard to release VIN numbers since they are still owned by the company and if an employee is seen doing so dont you think he or she may get it to some heavy trouble?? you guys should be thankful on what banshee gets you since he could get into some big trouble taking pictures of those cars, be thankful the man will get what he can when he can OK?

Everyone is getting very antsy for the SS info and it just shows how awesome this place is going to be once everything gets underway.

Banshe thanks for whatever you can tell us, even if you have nothing more to say you have provided Cobaltss.NET with valuable info.

So for now everyone just chill back and wait for this amazing new car to hit the market.

no ss/sc's in the lot as of today...i keep askin at work when the ss is comin and no-one seems to know for sure and i dont want to give out bad info. i know it just keeps gettin pushed back and back.its a good sign were makin the coupes.i personaly think when they get a lot full of coupes the ss will come just like they did with the sedans.

rob:had a couple banshee's i now ride a 250R.. on the rebuild thing usually every 2 years with moderate riding..
