What brand HID kit should i get don't want no cheap ebay junk?

Really? I've had no problem with the Morimoto ones I've always bought.

 

Nor have I. The 200ballast will def perform pretty awesome, but the new Morimoto ballasts are nice.

 

Love how most people spend $100 total on HID's and here we are recommending only OEM when morimoto is high end aftermarket.

 

Bought my Lumens HID Bi-Xenon conversion kit from a local shop for 130$

Been almost two years with no issues (knock on wood).

Because they think it doesnt make a difference...

I would def recommend OEM over Morimoto, but for the money Morimoto is damn good a lot better than the cheap ass ebay stuff

 

Oh believe me I know, I'm happy the people that recommend the crappy are gone. I've got mini H1's with all morimoto parts as well as FXR but never had a problem with their parts that I'd tell someone to spend more. I'm sure they are a bit better though.

 

I got mine on ddmtuning.com. I think i paid 80$ for bi-xenon and it comes with a lifetime warranty. Only downfall is it takes a while to get them.

 

Good luck actually getting the warranty. There's the crap I was expecting.

Get morimoto or oem. Denso. Matsushiba . Good stuff. I use Denso on my own stuff. The Matsus though. The new 5th Gen is sweet.

 

Well i guess DDM has only been good to me. Ive had them in my cobalt for a couple years with no problem.

 

Have you compared the performance to others? Or are you just basing it off it lights up therefore its ok

 

I noticed a difference from the stock headlights to the HIDs. The HIDs are at least 2x brighter. Thats all i was really looking for. But no i dont know anybody else that has gotten HIDs from anywhere else but DDM.

 

What about the ones at zzperformance? Anybody tried theres?

Ebay hids 6k headlights , 3k foglights. All for like $70 bucks. Over a year and a half, no problems.

 

Its not the problems with the hids from ebay they do work, but the hids they are talking about the quality of the output is way better hence the price

 

My buddy got Morimotos for his accord, and has had a bunch of problems with them. He had constant flickering, and decided to try a capacitor as it was supposed to deliver cleaner power to the ballasts.... still didnt work. He had the sames lumens kit I have in his car before and had no problems except 1 burnt out bulb.

 

When did he get them and where? There are knock offs that had been sold on ebay

 

Are you guys throwing HID's into the factory halogen headlight bucket?

 

From what i could tell they were genuine. It was the first time I had heard of the retrofitsource. It was 3 years ago or so, so im not sure the quality of what was being sold at that time. Ill ask him again.

Yap. Stock housing. No mods. Just need to mount the ballasts somewhere and run the wire harness.

 

I read alot of ppl saying their cheap HID are good and lasted. I had those too, they lasted me forever and never went had issues. Problem was, they don't give full power to the bulbs. Bulbs dont lit up how it suppose to.
I experienced this as a noob lol. 4300k were looking like 5k and 3500k were looking yellow greenish. I have a thread about that with pictures. After I went all different ballast I was like: "I dont want to post the anymore", I felt like an dumba$$ lol.

So cheap or expensive, as long you set them good they should last, just comes into performance and output of the bulbs.
And of course you can get the lemons ones lol
