Hid Help!!!

Ok i am about to order some hids for my 06 cobalt ss/sc and i got a question. Since the battery is location in the truck, what do you use for the power source since you need power. ground is easy anything metal. I dont wanna run anything from the front to the back. A friend told me i could just splice into the stock power but i didnt wanna do that just in case of something happening.

Thanks

it should be plug and play, depending on the kit
if its plug and play, itll match up right with the factory harness

Well technically if you want to do it right, you connect your ballast directly to a +12V source so that you don't fry your headlamp harness and other pricey electronics in your car. Where's Merc to back that one up[?

You DEFINATELY want to connect it to a 12v source like a battery. There should be a distribution block under the hood towards the right. I knwo for a fact that there is a + terminal there and can only imagine that underneath that must be the distribution block.

You won't fry your wiring harness without an aftermarket relay harness. I've never met anyone that has.
