HID's in our stock fogs?
I believe it just gives you a better power source or sends the same on/off signal to the other. I'm not 100% sure, so I'm taking a best guess from what I have read in the past.
Edit: ^^ what he said.

also you dont want to be "that guy" that has a foglight out every other day.
I used to deliver pizza, had crap hid fogs, once a week or so id pull up see my reflection in the window and see that i had a fog out, flash it and it would come right one, its just annoying though.

been running ddm hid's in my fogs for probably 2-3 years no with no harness, was a bit nervous at first, but i've never had any issues with anything. no flickering, always light. always run a harness with my headlights, but i think if you get at least a decent kit for the fogs, you should be fine. but, running a harness will never hurt.
Morimoto ballasts are BADASS! the newer styles ones have built in quick fire, so they are really like OEM, no 7 second warm up like other ballasts.
I also think they are overkill for fogs though (price), id use them in headlights only, and just run generic fogs.

There's a difference between brightness and good output. It's not just how much light you have it's where it's distributed.
Anyways as far as the actual subject of this thread goes hids are fine to run in our fogs. Won't hurt anything, though I am interested in how the chrome reflector bowl holds up after a few years. Remember that the more light you add closer to the car the harder it is to see in the distance, plus brighter light will make it actually harder to see in fog because the fog will reflect more light back at you.
