If you are willing to take care of your car. The LSJ / LNF will last you practically forever. They are very well built motors.

how do you put 175k km on an 06 cobalt...

well nm i guess thats around 115000 miles. i've read a good few posts on here of people that have around that many miles and so far all lsj engines are holding up strong. especially if they are stock.

if it appears to run smooth and be well maintained and appears stock (check the supercharger pulley to see if its black its held in by one bolt, if so its the stock pulley) then i'd say this is a good deal. $5000 is hard to beat

oh and welcome to the forum!

I got my 06 LS for 2,600 (too good of a deal). Don't know if the SS with a supercharged engine would make a difference but this one has been really reliable to me and runs like a brand new car. Try to lower the price by 500$. I've seen people lower it up to 2k even though lowering this one 500$ would already make it a great deal. When you test drive check the oil, temperature, etc... bring someone who knows some mechanics. Any noise you hear lower the price 200$ haha (on top of the 500$ you already should try to lower)

my 06 ss/sc has 180k miles on it and made 440whp with a giant turbo swap before the piston rings said no more, if I had left it SC it would have well over 200k miles on it by now.

I just hit 70,000km (43,500 miles) on my '07 LSJ and I'm dreading hitting that 100,000km mark. Its good to see that these cars were made to last.
