the front of the engine bay and the radiator are bent up against the supercharger. i have no clue what it takes for them to write it off. the deer pretty much never hit the ground, jumped off a hill and i hit it and it went flying atleast ten feet in the air and did a few flips.... was kind of entertaining while it lasted. i drove the car home after it happened.

pics of said deer. did you at least kill it?!

that would be the only way this situation would be acceptable.

its not a write off. the crush bar is probobly slightly bent, they can fix that pretty easily. Cobalt SS's hold their value and you would have had to do like 10grand in damage for them to write it off, new hood bumper, brackets, and bending and **** probobly arent going to get you that close. i get scared im gonna hit deer since i moved to NC, **** is creepy driving at night with no street lights and woods on both sides. glad your alright man, could have easily swerved to avoid and caused alot more damage

we drove down the road and looked on the side of the road for it but that thing launched off my car. it was too cold to walk in the woods and look for it. if it didnt die i would be amazed but my dad keeps telling me deer are tougher than i think.

yeah i would never swerve for a wild animal and yeah there was woods and hills on both sides of the road in this situation. i didnt even feel an impact when i hit it, car just went right through it. crazy how much damage there was for not feeling anything really when i hit it.

idk man, i hit one last year and didnt do damage to the radiator or anything in the engine bay. just bumper, hood, fender, one headlight, and some other small parts and that was almost 4 grand. plus my car has 70 some thousand miles on it now so they might not want to repair it.

Our cars are too sexy-the deer seek them out when horny, lol. Sucks though.
I had a set of those "deer whistles" on one of my old trucks, not sure if they work or not or even if they still sell them?

i cried a little inside... :/ i got a deer with my G6 GT last year... it was a small deer and it died... and i didn't feel bad for it at all... in fact if it weren't for the old people who claimed they had been baiting it onto their front lawn by the road to watch it i never would have hit anything. I would have kicked it so hard if they had not have come out to see it die either. lol needless to say i wasn't impressed with the old ****** but not much i could do.. they were old and decrepid... probably the last thing in life that brought them happiness until it met my grill lol
