My SS/SC feels more stable at high speeds than my F-Bodies do.

Were talking 100mph +

85mph for me on the interstate. To much traffic in NJ to go much faster. I'm usually going much slower. I sit in stop and go.. or crawling 30mph traffic most of the time. When I go out at night with less traffic, the cops are littered all over the interstates by me. There's just no winning unless I go to PA.

There we go, I edited the poll for the rest of us cool Americans.

I work swing shift so I get off at 11pm every night and the express ways in DC at 11pm are mostly empty and I get moving on them pretty much every night

Haven't been out on the highways much, but I've only gotten up between 80-90.
Car felt very solid as far as handling in concerned. Which is pretty much how it feels at any speed.

i dont think ive gotten past 80mph yet in my base model, the thing sits so damn high it doesnt feel as "under control" as my lowered cav, that thing could be flying and still handle the roads solid

Ive hit 130 mph on an empty highway, and the car felt sold the steering wheel didn’t shake and it didn’t feel like i was gonna die . It was acutely to smooth, I sometimes hit 100 without noticing it and quickly let of the pedal

Mid 120's. It was the only time over 100, just had a beat-up heavily primered cavy that wouldn't quit bugging me. Didn't even mean to go that fast, I was paying attention more to the highway, then looked down and saw it in the mid 120's. Felt like I was only going 80, very stable.

Topped out my SS

I topped out my SS at about 145 to 150mph, and the car felt like it was stuck to the ground. I was passing cars left and right and it felt like i was doing fifty the way it was taking the lane changes.

You got it going that fast? The highest reported number I saw was 143mph.

there is no way you got anywhere near that.. i was doing 143 for about a minute and a half full throtle in a straight line.. the car is drag limited and there is noway to think about 150(unless your moded.. which i doubt)

i said like 145 150 because where i live their is actual traffic and instead of staring at my speedometer and more than likely crashing i would just take a quick look. OK so dont get so **** buddy it was just a few mph's off

cobalt ss around 140~mph in fourth gear, everything was good except that the front end felt alot lighter than my cougar around the 100-125 mark, when i shifted to fifth and hit the brakes the car just felt like it was floating under the front. wasn't a cool feeling at all. i felt like i had so little feedback from the steering, but that could also be because of that electric power steering since i've never driven a car with it at those speeds. hopefully i will get the chance to top out the cobalt soon so i can actually leave it at those speeds for a while to get a better feel for it.
