How to install AEM Cold Air/out of engine bay cold air intake????
Hey everyone. Has anyone installed the AEM Cold Air intake into there '07 ss/sc? I just got one for christmas, and wanted to install it myself, but was unsure of how hard it is, or what i needed to do to get it set up? Or if I needed to remove my bumper to do it. It is the one with the longer cone filter. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, as always. Later

a video how to would be helpful, huh?
it's not hard at all. jack the car on the drivers side, take off the wheel, take off the bolts holding the fenderliner. they're small, i think 7 or 8 mm but there's a bunch of them. once you get the fender liner back, you can see hte stock airbox. it's held on by 2 bolts, you should be able to see/feel them. make sure you disconnect the maf (mass air flow) which is the sensor that's plugged in above the stock airbox. you should be able to squeeze and pull it out. after you take off the stock airbox, you can take out the 2 screws that hold the maf in place. now, you're mostly done!
take off the small peice of pipe directly above the airbox (connected to) you get it from the engine bay. can either use a screwdriver or a small wrench. now the whole thing should slide right out through the fenderliner.
the re-install is pretty easy, attach the maf holder (the part with the 2 screws) and attach the filter to the elbow. feed it through the fenderliner and into the engine bay, where you can re-attach it to the rest of the air intake. tighten that down. now, clip the maf back into the new pipe. put back the fenderliner, put back your wheel, and start that bitch up!
