How long do you intend to keep your Cobalt?
Ive had my Balt since 2006. Only owner of the car. and ive put too much money in this ****** to let it go. paid it off november last yr. and putting a ZZPturbo kit in her when i get back from my tour in Aug.
It was my first new car when i got it and its been paid off for over a year now so I'll probably keep it for a long time. and i would never get half of what i put into it back lol

Well the plan was to get a Ford Focus ST or Hyundai Gen Coupe older V6 or newer DI 2.0T in a year or two but now that my financial situation will change in 2 months I will be a full time student and won't be able to afford anything for a few years.
So as of now I'll be my car for awhile. At least exceeding 100,000 miles, I currently have 25,XXX in my 2009

As long as I can.
I got a dead 98 Passat in the driveway i'd like to fix but...i'm lazy xD
Cobalt will only last until the wife forces herself into having a 3rd kid, she has an 06 Altima and she'll say we both need a car that can hold 3 car seats, as we have a 1 yr old and 4 yr old now...
Think if I had to get an SUV the VW Tiguan looks good to me. She wants a Yukon. I also wouldn't mind a big black suburban with 0% tint all around and red/blue lights in the grill all FBI looking lol.

ide like to get rid of mine and ditch the car payment honestly, but in reality i won't be able to sell it for what i want, and i won't have enough money to buy a decent car in the mean time sooooooo I'm stuck paying for it even if i don't want too.
its a good car don't get me wrong, I'm just tired of paying for it between insurance and car payment plus other **** its kinda pricey.

Same here.
With most cars, the sky is the limit if you're diligent about maintenance and making repairs in a timely manner. I know my family's pushed cars to 400k+. My first car was a 1985 Skyhawk that went through both of my parents, then myself, then a close family friend. The motor actually outlasted two shells.
Then I lost track of it. I think last we knew where it was it was at 375,000 and going strong.
I'm thinking Focus ST as a new daily, but it'll depend. Not sure on that. I hate financing cars. I'd rather save up until I can purchase something with cash.
This is true! A house will also be a continual source of monetary woe. Every time I think I have everything set in mine, I find something else that needs attention.

I plan on keeping mine for awhile. Im way upside down after trading in my SS/SC so I guess im stuck with it haha. I would love an EVO X but I wouldnt get **** for trade in and I really need to buy a house first.
I don't have any plans to get rid of my balt anytime soon. Once it is paid off then it will have all the things done to it that I want and it will be good for another 100,000+ miles. IMO it is cheaper to put a few grand into the car then it is to buy a new one and sit in debt again.
I don't plan on ever getting rid of my 05 or my 08 SS ...the 05 has been paid off for bout 4.5-5yrs. I've Had the 05 since march 13th of 05. the 08 I got a about two years ago and that was paid for before it left the lot. I Love both cars!!! I Will never part with either!!
I paid mine off about 2-3 months ago, it feels nice not having a car payment, and I can live with that for a few (after a while I hated having car payments) my next car im going to buy cash, so I'll be driving the balt for a while to save up.
I plan on keeping it....want to make it racecar status, then store it for when I need it and buy me my Camaro....but not thinking in getting rid of it at all....its been such a great car this is my third one forgot totalled and for some reason I always go back to owning a Cobalt....
My car's paid off and it's back to stock besides the cat-back for a peppy DD.
Probably holding off getting another car until I'm done with college, if my 155k engine/tranny wants to keep going.
