Well the pursuit isn't overed in the states, and its more like

LS, LT, SS, and SS/Sc

Either are available in coupe or sedan form..but the coupe alone gets the SC.

I think for 06 the base name is dropped dpwn to LS as well.

I don't think its too many at all---I love variety. If anything GM Canada has too many car for Chevy.

Impala
Epica
Malibu
Cobalt
Optra Aveo

three is more then enough.

Saw your car the other day Taro--looks sharp! Those are soem LOW profile tires! 40 series?

You can look at everything they offer now on there web site. 2006 Cobalts are now on www.chevrolet.com. I have also noticed they no longer offer the G85 option. Which makes 05 SS's with the G85 performance package a rare find. It's not anywhere in the options list for the 2006 SS S/c. Semper fi

G85 is still available on the 2006 cars, maybe it just doesn't show up on the website for whatever reason...

Yeah. G85 is there (see snapshot below).
Maybe you need to make sure you first select " ebony with ebony " for interior colors, as the G85 doesnt go with the color inserts option.
And I know my ordered (and being built) 2006 is coming with G85

And as far as different models available, I see the following:
Coupe LS (1AK37) , LT (1AL37) , SS (1AM37) , SS S/C (1AP37)
Sedan LS (1AK69) , LT (1AL69) , LTZ (1AZ69) , SS (1AM69)

so that is 4 coupe options, and 4 sedan options in the USA (as the Pontiac Pursuit isn't for USA)

well actually they end up giving two configurations of the "LT" choices.. (1LT and 2LT) so then I guess you could say the website shows 5 options for coupe and 5 options for sedan.. but then you'd have to say each color option is another... so IMO they have 4 coupe options and 4 sedan options.
