How much money have you put into your car?

So ever since I've gotten my Cobalt I've keep record of everything that I've purchased for it so far. Today I was curious as to how much I've actually spent on it so far and I thought I would share with everyone. Here's my breakdown:

Parts: $2,874.14
Labor: $ 780.30
Shipping: $ 174.76
Misc: $ 181.20
Tax: $ 28.01
-----------------------
Total: $4,038.47

No wonder why I'm always broke.

Most of my labor was from when I got my huge scratch removed from my rear bumper. As is the Misc section. You'll look at the bill breakdown and there is always the Misc. charges.

In parts I've also included the Radar Detector I bought plus some stuff I've gotten that I haven't put into my car yet like my Shift Light and Exhuast.

Just curious if anyone else would like to share.

$14.00 on a LED plug in so I can see my coffee cup in the morning.
150.00 for mud flaps front and rear. (Too damn much snow up here and makes a mess without them).

Well I put 500.00 for labor and parts for a new oil pan, when I hit a freaking curb and made a whole in my old one only a week of having my car...LOL...other than that, I put 150 in tint. But going to get some mods together here soon, first one a intake. So right now its 650, but more 2 come...thats for sure.

I'm pretty done with everything I want to do right now. Body kit? Maybe. If one comes out that I like. But I'm right on the same boat with celicacobalt right now. Saving for the turbo.

Not enuff in the SS yet .

Injun - $240
DC STB- $90
Borla Turbo XL muffler , various mandrel bends to go from res. back $250
B&M shifter $150
Aeroforce guage - $220
Halo HID , PIAA plasma yellow fogs $350

$1050 .....damn , more than I thought . Adding stuff up is NEVER a good idea . I made that mistake doing that with my Trans Am convertible I sold earlier this year .

Total investment in that , not including the cost of the car = $21,000 and some change . I will have damn close to $30,000 in the Z28 when alls said and done .

I couldnt live without cars and hotrodding , but man , I will be poor the rest of my life because of them
