Whats up everyone. Just curious to how everyones year is going thus far! Of course im in Florida, where there is a big import scene/ racing scene, especially here in orlando. I remember back in 05 and 06 didnt get much love for having a cobalt from the fellow ricers but 07 seems to be treating me better! Even the STI boy's give thumbs up here and there.

I must say though, when i was driving home last week a black SRT 4 pulls up next to me flicks me off and down shifts away... I guess u cant expect everyone to love us!

But any way, Do you get more Props or hate in your respective Cobalt?

to tell you the truth, I havent lose a race in a while, so everyone gives me props. Actually I did lose to this ferrari last night but he still gave me props cuz I was a car behind!

I get a lot of BS called on me, people think I'm on spray all the time. I ran a guy in a 06-07 STI with a paper tag and exhaust last night, stayed 1 car ahead until he hit 4th, then he slid past me. Cool guy, liked my car, was really impressed with how well it ran.

 

Its just the new cavalier around where I live, BTW was that SRT-4 a complete stranger and he still gave you the finger?? thats just ghey..

yeah complete stranger. wack huh? i didnt even both chase him down. it was a cop infested part of town. i get alot of compliments on the paint job too.

 

I've gotten a few random compliments. The last one was from a guy in a newer BMW 3-series at a gas station.

Mostly I get stares... a lot of envious stares. Every light I'm at I watch the people going through the intersection infront of me... a lot of folks will turn their heads and just gaze with that envious "I wish that was me." look... especially the kids in the riced out civics and accords. I'm just sittin there thinking... "you know you want it" LOL

 

Yeah i get the famous question all the time what kind of car is that

 

oddly enough, from the old V8 guys, no love... no replacement for displacement **** and all that.

from everyone else, i get a mix of hate and love. When i had my Cavaliers, it seemed everyone wanted to race me... and the car was nothing fast or special. Now, I have the equivalent of a tactical nuclear weapon in my trousers and nothing... no little stoplight encounters, no grudge matches at the strip... nothing.

is it fear?
is it respect?

I get a lot of compliments on the paint. Still get some odd looks by a few civics.

 

I get mad props on my car.. its not around everywhere like most cars and as soon as i take them for a ride..the props just get higher

 

i live in a small town... right now there are 5 Cobalt SS running around around... 4 are supercharged, one is a 2.4L
Out of the supercharged ones, one is a G85
three are blue, two are black.

it makes it easier to get away with stupidity. :P

When I went to the track Friday I was a very popular guy. I had probably a 100 people come up to me in the stages lanes. I live in a college town and there are evo's and sti's running ramped but they will not race.

 

Last comment I got went like this;

I was sitting at a stop light when this old redneck truck pulls up beside me. I can see him out of the corner of my eye looking my car over, but I don't acknowledge him. I have my music fairly loud so I didn't hear if they were talking or not. Then I hear the guy (biggest redneck ever, wife beater & all) say "hey brother!". So I turn down my music and look over and he's sitting there smiling at me. He says "man that sure is a nice car ya got there I like that!" I reply "thanks man, I love it too..". He says "That sure is a woman getter right there! Will it move??". I replyed "Oh yeah, it'll move". His light turns green as he was in a turning lane and he gives me this big fist up in the air and says "Later brother!". I took off.... Thought it was kind of funny...

 

I cant get anyone to race me....at least no ricers, they scared, I've only lost one race against a 350zgt

 

People underestimate my car. I love it!! I've gotten everything from "nice ride" to "holy s***!!! This is a 4 banger?!!" I have to say, the last one's my favorite. People usually don't realize how quick the car is till they jump in and feel the pull.

 

So far, I've managed to kill a 5-Liter Mustang and a 4.6L GT... I've had an older 350 Camaro try and fail. I've kept with a 350Z, but those pesky Evo's are still getting away from me...

I've walked on everything I've come across except this Mercedes that caught me a lil off-guard last night. Not sure what model, but this car would have given me a run if I was on point. Looked pretty damn new, 4 door of course.

Anywayz...I get ALOT of looks while I'm driving her, alot of compliments about the color. Get the.."Them wheels factory?" or "Is that paint factory?" I've gotten some decent compliments from some of the cars that I've beaten, even from some 50year old guy in a mercedes. I drove away from this guy, and at the next light he was like..."Turbo or Supercharged?" I said.."Super" He had a smile from ear to ear and drove off kinda slow. lol...

Walked on an 03-04 Mustang GT with at least exhaust saturday and his response was..."That ****** thing MOVES!" lol...I LOVE IT

 

i don't get either, and I can give 2 ***** what other people think about my car... if they want to judge me based on the car i drive, they're totally not worth my time.

 

I was drivin the family to get some ice cream last night in my wifes 07 Civic 4 door and this punk ass kid with a sideways hat pulls up next to us in a saturn...no not an ion. He stayed right even with us and when I sped up a touch he guns it to pull ahead...took him 4 years...lol anyway, I slow down and dammit if he does not slow to try to pace me again. He revvs up with his pepboys fart can muffler. Sounded horrid, but anyways he keeps on hanging with us anoying us bad.
I got the lil bastard this time though... The whole time he kept looking straight until finally he glanced over. I was holding up my badge and he slowed down in behind us. You could tell be the look on his face he was scared shittless!!!

whats so funny is that Im not a cop. Im a 37 year old with a short hair cut, but cary a conceled weapons badge you buy out of the magazines...

We all died laughing our ass off.

If I would have been in the balt I would have done the same thing. That kid didnt deserve to see a good asswhipping.

i had some idiot ride by ass last night in a silver srt4, flipped me off too...tried to downshift...and go..but oh wait..whats that? a red light....dayum...

we stop, i roll down the window, call him a ***...

i just so happened to take off my old neon kit and put my new 2.1m led kit...so i had the old neon tubes in my back seat....but i thought...nah...thats fucked up...


he called me a ***...so..i flicked my cigarette in the passenger side window.....and slowly pulled away...


its funny as hell when it lands on his lap.

 

I've been getting the "I hate you" comment from my friends.

and also the "those are big ass windows" from them too.(they all have sedans)

 

since i got my car lowered...i been getting compliments left to right
