Hydro-Sheild
to my understanding they really aint needed unless you just want one.. not sayin they dont work but you'd have to be in some pretty deep water to actually have to worry hydro-lockin the motor.. if your going through water that deep then you need to get a big truck cuz the balts wasnt meant for that..

it seems that if you put in a CAI that got air from down low, you would want to put one in for extra precaution, if the intake costs $200, this piece is well worth it
If you're in enough water to submerge your airfilter, you have FAR more problems than hydrolocking your engine.
When I took my Fugita off for the winter I found clear evidence that water was getting through the filter, so I invested in a hydro filter. I may not need it, but I figure better safe than sorry.
I'm pretty sure I bought mine through Turbo Tech Racing. Everyone else wanted the same or more for a hydroshield.
Oh geez. WHY?

Ok I managed to find a Hydrashield and put it in tonight, After pulling the innerfender out of the way I was kinda surprised to find the filter soaked with water and it hadn't even been raining that hard and maybe a ten minute drive to work. I would suggest you get a K&N, Injen, AEM, whatever hydra shield just get one. Oh and her is the part number that was on the top of the card for the package. A824742 and the one I got was the X-1033BLK
