I didnt know we have foldable mirrors

Ya know, ive had this car for 4 years and just realized we have foldable mirrors. If it wasnt for the person that hit my car while it was parked,i never wouldve known.I get in my car last nite and i see the mirror was pushed out.Im like crap, its broke. But it popped back into place with no damage done to it.Ive tried in the past to see if they were foldable, but i didnt wanna put too much pressure on them,so i assumed they were fixed in place.

Ya but they don't fold for ****. Not when you want them to fold in all the way to fit some where tight. But ya, you won't hurt them by pushing them hard to fold them. You gotta push pretty hard. Older silverado mirrors are the worst, you really gotta push hard on them sometimes. They fold foreward too I think. I fold mirrors all day running cars through our auto washer where I work. We also have identical mirrors to the G6 in case you ever need to replace one.

You mean where they spring back into place and don't stay folded? That kinda annoys me actually. Id rather have them stay folded in case you need them folded.

Hmm I've never seen those. I thought the toyota cavalier was the same as the chevy, whose folding mirrors I hate. Those are pretty cool actually. Equinox mirrors fold the best.

I was looking at a G6 the other day and thought that the mirrors looked almost exactly the same...guess they are!

Holy ****! Me too, I just found out tonight
I was comming home from McDonalds after work, and I noticed that my right side mirror was out of adjustment, so I tried to adjust it and nothing,
Was thinking oh great... I got home and looked at my drivers side, then my passanger side, and saw it was bumped in. I pulled and it poped right back! I'm like wow cool.
I think mine might have gotten hit on the garage door though ...

I can't think of a car that does not have them other than cars from before the 80's!?!?, and they are usually hard because otherwise they'll fold at highway speeds...

I found out my mirrors folded when I went through a car wash. As soon as I came out of the car wash, I was about to kill someone until I realized the mirrors fold forward and backwards But honestly, if it was the first time you had messed around with the car, you wouldn't think that the mirrors could/would fold at all.

Reminds me of when my dad got his 2006 SL55 AMG and it took him 5 minutes to figure out how to open the gas tank door. Turned it the door is spring loaded, so you just push the door in and it opens. Imagine what the clerk at the gas station was thinking, "Those farkers probably stole that car! They've been sitting at the pump for 5 minutes trying to figure out how to open the gas tank door"
