I dont own a Cobalt....

but I'm considering purchasing one. I drive a truck, and when you drop 70 dollars on a tank of gas, you start thinkin maybe you should switch vehicles. My wife had an 03 Cavalier 5speed tranny (I love manuals) but we recently got rid of it-had to buy a family car. Before the 03 cavy, she had a 97 cavy and before that she had a 90cavy(all 3 were 5speeds) - Never had a problem with any of them- 240,000 on the 90cavy. Dealer down the street has Cobalt SC red that looks sweet. I havent driven one, but our 03 cavy would run great for a 4cyl - Anyhow, is there anything I should look for when testing this thing out? Like stay away from certain build dates, dont buy one with a sunroof,..........thanks for replies - cool site.

I think you're pretty safe no matter what you get. It's now in its second year of production so some of the early production gremlins are no more. I have an 06 SS and have had no problems.

I have had my car for a couple of weeks and love it. No issues yet.

I have a sunroof and we had crazy rain all night.... no leaks. The sunroof is a great feature, I did originally care for one but I love it now and am happy I bought the car with it.
