Two things:

1) No I don't think your warranty will cover this, but I may be wrong.

2) If you patch that tire, it is no longer speed rated. You cannot travel safely on it above a certain speed (~100MPH). Z rated tires cannot be patched and used again at high speeds.

Warranty will not cover a nail in your tire. Take it somewhere and get it patch'd...
You wont be able to go over 100mph anymore.... Who cares though... If you are going 100+ on any kind of regular basis you shouldnt be driving on public roads.

Ive had 2 nails in my tires already. Im lazy and just plugged them... patching is much better though.

Im not sure... personally I have those plugs in my tires... 1 front and 1 rear... and I beat the crud out of mine with no problem. Although im sure the durability has been compromised.. no doubt about that.

Well if you would have bought the road hazard package when you got your car then it would be covered. They will replace the tire if its punctured like that and even the wheel if you happen to mess up the wheel because the tire deflated. They will even replace aftermarket wheels with this plan.

If you have this then have it replaced that way but if not then do like the others said and hit up discount tire.

I 2nd that, I have a patch in my front left tire and I beat the crap out of it all the time. Oh and about that not being able to go over 100mph on them is BS cuz I've done it many many times and it wasnt any different then before it had been patched. <<< The over 100mph was all computer generated and or on close roads

AFAIK tire damage is covered by general warranty... you guys know for sure that it isn't or are you just pulling that stuff from your asses? Either way, I just took mine to the local 76 and had it plugged for $10.. not worth the hassle of dealing with GM to save a few pennies

Tire damage.... If it is the fault of the manufacturer.... Its not Pirelli or GMs fault you ran over a nail.

i think I saw a post a while back about the tires being covered under warrenty ONLY if you purchased a dealer package which included such a warrenty

I've lived in Florida now for the past 6 years and have had more flats with nails then I have had in 30 years. Walmart does fine. Flat fixxing isn't rocket science.
