Did you guys look at esurance.com?
They can save me 36% but I like State Farm so I don't mind paying more for good insurance.

Another Londoner....this is just getting out of hand now . For the first time ever a female is paying more than me...I never thought I'd see the day . I'm paying $208 / month on my LS coupe through State Farm. On a side note what colour is your LS...I've only seen four females driving Cobalts in London so far and I believe all 4 are LS as well?

I agree...$230 was the approximate quote I got on the SS but I wasn't sure if my insurance company wouuld hold to it after I'd actually bought the car. There is no way you should be paying more than us...I'm 22 with my full G and like yourself have a totally clean record. Hell my buddy with his G2 who just bought an SIR is paying less than that (though his agent must be taking a pretty huge chance)...you should probably start shopping around.

I have got you beat.. $402/month (something like that).. 1 ticket on my record, 7 years driving and I also drive transport trucks.. Even without tickets I would have been paying like $300 (remember without tickets) so that is still even the same as u pay with a ticket .. My 1990 Beretta cost me like $300 as well and my first car I ever drove was like $350.. I get screwed royally up the butt with insurance.. And I have been with a couple companys..

I can't wait until I turn 25 and it comes down a nice month.. Apprently the deal is with my insurance company is I keep a clean record for 6 months (so until like December) I will have it lowered to whatever they will lower it to.. Still gonna be around the $250-300 mark.. Damn I though it would be better since I drive a transport truck. I mean most of the time I put more miles in a week then most of you do in like 2-3 months of driving.. Can anyone say BS..!!!

I'm very jealous of all of you. I just purchased my SS coupe (not s/c) and the cheapest I can get insured is for 440/mo (nys).

I'm 18 with one speeding ticket, but I have had my own plan for two years on my 93 corsica. Drivers ed and defensive driving discounts don't mean much any more in new york...

I just wanted to add that I got a quote from esurance just now as per someone's suggestion in the thread and...drumroll...6982/yr or 582/mo!!

Why the hell am I so expensive to insure?! One ticket for 44 in a 30 and well...you see. Anyway I should add that I'm paying 300/mo for my corsica now, which makes no sense because it has no alarm/no onstar/one airbage/no daytime running lamps and probably nothing else that the cobalt has that reduces insurance. Oh well.

I do not have a Cobalt, but I am buying one within a year.
I called my insurance company (Geico) and they quoted me 189 a month for a SS/SC. I am 21, 1 non-fault accident, no speeding tickets (That they know about, suckers!) I do apply for the good driver discount, otherwise it was going to be upwards of 280 a month.
