I need help making a decision

Ok so, as you can tell by my signature, my 2010 Cobalt LS has been a real peice of ****. I have had issues with it since I bought it. However, 3,000 miles have passed and my computer hasn't blew out on me.

So, GM sent me an email that stated if I test drove a Cruze, they would give me a $50 gift certificate to Target. I drove it, fell in love with it, and now I want one.

Ok so my dilemma is, do I keep the cobalt and turbocharge it with the Hahn/Garrett bolt on kit? Or do I trade it in for the LTZ Cruze?

If I keep the balt, I can save myself a few grand, but if I get the Cruze, I could have a much more efficient, WAAAYYYY nicer car that should have little to no issues and really luxorious interior.

Let me know what you guys think

meh... ditch the cobalt, take the gift certificate an grab a Genesis Coupe the Cruze is nice... very nice actually... but not that nice.... I drove the 2LT and the LTZ and eh... maybe I just had big expectations but I was very disappointed.. I'd say get somethin a tad nicer, or maybe a Buick Regal, You've seen the commercails havent you!? you dont wanna be all disappointed in your driveway do you!?!?

I love the cobalt, but honestly i would go with the cruz. Its new and probably better maid then the cobalt. I've had a lot of experience with the cobalt. I have the ss turbo and i love it dont get me wrong but its not made that well. and my friend had a pontiac g5 which is basically the same thing as a cobalt. I use to have a VW GLI and that was such a nice car, everything on it was made so well. and i know ppl on this forum will probably hate on me for this. the only reason i would go with the cobalt is if you are a performance person like myself. or maybe you can soup up the cruz. idk but good luck!

See, I cant afford a Genesis or a Regal, lol or I would!!! I have a small budget for my car payment, hahaha. After I drove the Cruze and got back into the balt, I felt embarressed and I was annoyed with how cheap it is, lol.

Keep the balt until you aren't upside down on the trade and get a new car... If you buy a new car for $20,000 but still owe $5000 on the balt whats the point? Do you want to pay $25000 for a $20000 car? It just compounds the issue.

That is just my 2 cents though.

I couldn't agree more. Quit taking on bad loans. The Cruze will depreciate just as fast so you will be 8-10 grand behind in the near future. Work to pay off the Cobalt and save up for a down payment.

Ive been upside down on loans since 2003 when I bought my first brand new car...2003 Cavalier LS Sport Coupe....bolted a turbo on that, blew it up a few times then traded it in for a used 2000 Camaro SS. Got bored of that then traded it in for a brand new 2005 Impala fully loaded. Got sick of that then traded that in for a brand new 2006 Silverado 1500....got tired of filling that tank and traded that in for my brand new 2007 SS/SC...got bored of that then traded that in for a used 2004 Pontiac GTO....got tired of that then bought a brand new 2009 Malibu LT...couldnt afford my car payment anymore so I traded it in for this piece of ****, bahahahaha .....so you see, I really dont care about being upside down. and I wont be if they give me 11k for my balt.
