I need to vent

SO i just went to pick up my 2006 cobalt ss s/c victory red. Got there, and the car had 15-20 scratches, 2 gauges (down to the metal). They did not wax the car, and it was washed poorly. Best off, one of the huge gauges (2 inches long below the ss emblum on the passengers side) was touched up with ORANGE paint. It was horrible! I refused the car, and i am furious. This is a $25,000 car, and it was horrible.

Now i'm back to square 1, locating a cobalt ss/sc. It has to be red or blue. If anyone lives in New Jersey and knows of 1 by their dealer, let me know. The options i def want are the sunroof, airbags, and g85.

PLEASE let me know if you have one at a dealer near you in nj. thank you so much.

i think you mean gouges

**Gouges**

1) Grooves or holes scooped with or as if with such a chisel.

3)A scooping or digging action, as with such a chisel.

They put a stratch all the way on the side of the car when they were suppose to fix something in the interior. It totally went from the drivers side fender to below the spoiler. Clearly could see it.

Ive had mine for 10Kmiles with perfect paint still

You may also want to check into GMbuypower.com . That site can locate you a new car with the exact options you want . Its list the dealer names and phone #'s which have the exact car you created . Might come in handy if ya really wanted arrival or Lazer blue . Just for kicks I did a search for Arrival Blue in my region and it could only find 1 SS in that color .

Not that getting revenge is always the best idea but those jealous morons from your old school don't happen to have cars of their own do they .

Damn man thats really ridiculous.

Thats dissappointing coming to pick up your brand new vehicle and having it be all messed up like that.

You made a good decision by refusing to take it. If I was in that situation I probably would have seen if I could get a few grand off the price and still take it, then get it detailed at a reputable body shop for a few hundred dollars

you may of missed out on a huge opportunity to have a good paint job. The cobalt Factory paint jobs suck no matter what, some show the orange peel more than others, but I'd be willing to guarantee they all arent the greatest. I looked at a ton of cobalts after I got mine and my aunt was buying hers and it was almost impossible to find one with a decent paint job. Could have maybe talked them into a new paint job under warranty. More than one person on this site have gotten new paint jobs because of dealership carelessness. Anyway Congrats on the purchace and I'm glad it all worked out.
